Starship & Crew Name Short Description
Cerberus.png USS Cerberus The Cerberus was encountered when an unknown member of the crew altered the course of the Sherwood while the others were in cryosleep. Upon awakening the crew found themselves in orbit around LV-178 (New Galveston). The Cerberus, a Conestoga-Class Frigate, intercepted the Sherwood for questioning as, according to the captain, LV-178 is a restricted planet. The Cerberus appeared to be an older ship that had undergone many repairs in its life.

Session 1

The Sherwood sought out the Cerberus when several facehuggers escaped aboard their ship. Believing that the marines were specially trained to exterminate the xenomorphs, the Sherwood found the Cerberus in orbit around New Galveston where it had been intercepting LaSalle Bionational science vessels attempting to escape the planet with xenomorph specimens.

Session 5
Cpt_Demien_Brackett.png Captain Demien Brackett Pvt. Landow checked the Colonial Marine’s public directories for information on Captain Brackett and found something strange. The Captain’s last know station was LV-426, Acheron, site of an industrial accident that wiped out the colony, Hadley’s Hope. He was believed to be killed in the accident.

Session 1

Through Captain Brackett the crew learned that the destruction of the WYSS Mikawa, a Weyland Yutani Military Class Frigate, at the Arcadian Asteroid Belt had been pinned squarely on them. Even more distressing, the crew had left behind several ovomorph specimens as well as test subjects in cryosleep at the LaSalle Bionational McLaren research facility. These specimens had been taken by the Church of the Immaculate Incubation whose belief it was that the merging of human DNA to that of the alien through incubation of the xenomorph was the next step in human evolution. Though they had 30 or more days head start, the Cerberus would pursue the Church’s frigate while the crew of the Sherwood, given a small tactical nuke, would land on New Galveston and wipe out the remnants of the LaSalle presence. The captain asked that an internal informant named Ruby Scott be saved from the facility.

Session 5
Lt_Juilisa_Paris.png Lieutenant Juilisa Paris Like Captain Brackett, Lt. Paris’ last know station was LV-426 and she was believed to be killed in the Hadley’s Hope accident.

The_Prophet.jpeg The Prophet The Prophet appeared to be a pirate vessel as it was encountered while attacking the USCSS Coventry, a Kellend Corp mining ship. The attack suffered catastrophic failure when an explosion within the docking umbilical caused the Prophet’s weapons storage to detonate. The destruction resulted in a hull breach that killed all on board. However, several pirates, led by someone named “Brother Daniel”, a balding middle aged man who looked entirely out of place leading a bunch of bandit scum, were already on board. Strangely, the pirates were not interested in plunder and focused on finding a stowaway, a young girl named Trinket, who they called the “Dreamer”.

Session 1

Marshal Maddox used his connections with the Marshal Service to run a background check on Brother Daniel and the captured pirates. The following information was transmitted.

Vernor.jpg The Vernor The crew of the Sherwood encountered the Vernor when they received a distress call and found the ship adrift with apparent damage to its engines. As the Sherwood crew boarded the seemingly disabled ship, bounty hunters stormed the Sherwood and attempted to take the bridge.

Session 5
Kaye.jpg Alice The last surviving member of the Vernor boarding party, Alice is a bounty hunter that was sent to retrieve Trinket by one client and a synthetic, contracted by another. In addition, she was offered a bonus for bring the rest of the Sherwood crew in dead or alive for their (framed) role in the destruction of a Weyland Yutani frigate at the Arcadian Asteroid Belt. After her companions were killed, Alice threw her lot in with the Sherwood.

download.jpg G. Hydrea – Arcadian Asteroid Belt Found well outside normal shipping lanes, the Arcadian Asteroid Belt is home to a Lasalle Bionational research facility. The station was constructed inside an enormous asteroid which concealed it from discovery until an informant gave Weyland Yutani the coordinates to the facilities location. When the Sherwood arrived the remains of a Weyland Yutani military class frigate drifted very near the station. The signs of battle extended to the interior of the facility where no Lasalle staff were found inside. Instead, damage from explosives and small arms accompanied pools of blood throughout the docking bay. No bodies were discovered thus far.

Session 2

Searching deeper into the facility, the Sherwood crew found further evidence of intense fighting but still no bodies or weapons. The only firearm found was tucked neatly in a pocket beneath a bed. Though they had not found Lenore, Captain Gordi’s wife, the crew was so disturbed by what they found, they decided to find the missing Trinket, the kid had wandered off the ship and gone into the station, locate the parts needed to repair their ship, and escape.

The Sherwood had been damaged in two separate incidents. Once, when one of the four facehuggers released by Ava 6 attempted to attack Finn and Captain Gordi, It’s acid blood destroying the flight console. Then, Hooper, motivated by his addiction to the “conspiracy theory” broadcasts of Robert Morse, destroyed the Sherwood’s air purification system to prevent the alien lifeform from spreading further than this station.

Session 3
Ava6.png Ava 6 Following the pirate attack on the Sherwood, Lasalle Bionational paid for the repairs on Captain Boudreaux’s ship, the Sherwood, in exchange for a covert cargo run from LV-178 (New Galveston) to their research facility in the Arcadian Asteroid Belt. Smuggling compartments were installed in the cargo hold allowing Lasalle agents to hide several shipping containers. Ava 6, a synthetic programmed to supervise the shipment was placed within one of the containers. She would emerge while the crew was sleeping to tend the cargo, samples of xenomorph blood and tissue, ovomorphs (xenomorph eggs), and several state of the art cryopods. It had been Ava 6 who took the captured pirates, exposed them to the ovomorph’s and placed the bodies into stasis for the trip to the Lasalle facility. During Ava 6’s night time activity she became friendly with Trinket and seemed conflicted about Lasalle’s intentions for her even if she didn’t hold the same reservations for the rest of the crew.

Session 2

On McLaren station, the crew decided to send Ava-6 to look for Trinket who had snuck on the station. Marshal Maddox and Red followed Ava into a research lab where the “artificial person” was searching for the kid. While Maddox was looking around an observation room, Red stood at the heavy door to ensure it did not close. Suddenly, the man who the crew knew as the Janitor, Alex Dobzhansky, was revealed to be Dr. Bruce Ames. The doctor ordered Ava-6 to push Red into the room and seal the door. She complied after which Dr. Ames released three facehuggers into the observation room.

Session 3

After Red and Marshal Maddox were trapped in the observation room with the facehuggers, Trinket dropped into the room through an air vent. Tears in her eyes, she demanded that Red and Maddox be let out of the room. When Dr. Ames ordered Ava-6 to hold the girl for another trial, the Synthetic hesitated. Again, the doctor ordered Ava-6 to obey his command. When she once again hesitated, the doctor began to chase Trinket around the room. Soon after, the crew of the Sherwood appeared. In response, the doctor commanded Ava-6 to initiate protocol 34b. The new protocol gave Ava impossible strength and agility. When the crew attempted to destroy the synthetic she was able to thwart their attacks but did no harm to anyone.

Session 4
Alex_Dobzhansky.png Dr. Bruce Ames Found hiding in a maintenance closet, Dr. Ames claimed to be a janitor named Alex Dobzhansky. Pretending to be a simple (and addle minded) custodian, Dr. Ames feigned ignorance to the inner workings of the research station. His identity was revealed when the crew split up and the doctor was able to, with the help of Ava 6, trap Red Finnigan and Marshal Maddox in a testing chamber. At that moment, Ava 6 asked, “Dr. Ames, shall we begin the procedure?” To which he nodded the affirmative. Three ovomorphs were raised into the room through cylindrical lifts perfectly fitted to the task. Red and Maddox were able to kill two of the three emerging facehuggers. Sadly, after a valiant struggle, Red succumbed to the parasite’s dark purpose.

Session 3

When the crew burst in to find Red in the embrace of a deadly facehugger, they attempted to remove the xenomorph. When the alien was finally removed, Red began to convulse having been given a deadly cocktail of chemicals by the facehugger. When Finn, Red’s brother, realized that his sister was dead, he marched over to the doctor and fired three shots into the doctor’s chest, killing him instantly.

Session 4
Planet Name Short Description
LV-178.png LV-178 (New Galveston) When the crew of the Sherwood emerged from hypersleep they expected to be at the Solomons Colony but instead found themselves far off. The Sherwood was in orbit around LV-178, former site of a Kellend Trimonite mining operation. Thirty years earlier, the colony had been destroyed in a nuclear accident. Miners attempting to escape the destruction lost control of their dropship and collided with the DSMO Marion, a mining ship in orbit designed to support the operation. The Marion suffered massive damage and eventually crashed into the planet’s surface.

Session 1
Mendel_Station.png LaSalle Bionational Mendel Research Facility The Mendel Research Facility has been conducting research on captured xenomorph specimens for months before an internal informant leaked the activities of the LaSalle scientists to the Cerberus. Since then, Captain Brackett and his crew have been thwarting any attempt the corporation has made to escape the planet with live xenomorphs. The campaign has reduced all surface buildings, once a habitat for a failed mining colony, to rubble leaving only one entrance into the underground facility. The crew of the Sherwood crash landed to find the ruins crawling with escaped xenomorphs and the facility far below ground in chaos.

Mendel_Station2.png

Inside Mendel, three factions were found. What’s left of the human population has splintered into several scared but hostile groups. Xenomorphs prowl the station directed by what the scientists refer to as the “egg layer”. Lastly, mutated creatures that seem to be a hybrid of humans and xenomorph. The first hybrid, a station engineer named Rainer Weiss, seemed to know Trinket exclaiming, “It’s you!  She said you would come!" Before the rest of the crew opened fire.

Sullivan_9.jpg Sullivan 9 Sullivan 9 is a backwater refueling station just inside the frontier at the edge of the core systems. The colony is extremely small but has recently begun mining operations. Dense cloud cover rarely allows sunlight to reach the planet’s surface giving the landscape a drab and barren appearance.

Session 1

The crew of the Sherwood learned that Sullivan 9 was a Lasalle Bionational sponsored colony. After speaking with the company rep, Stanley Mellish, the sudden infestation of pyro ticks was the result of suspected industrial sabotage.

Session 2
Marshal_Haggart.png Marshal Wyatt Haggart The lone source of law on the Sullivan Colony, Marshal Haggart patterns his mannerisms and dress after the lawmen of Earth’s old west. The Marshal wears a sheriff’s badge and has even gone as far as banning alcohol from within the colony walls.
Stanley_Mellish.jpg Stanley Mellish The Lasalle Bionational company representative on Sullivan 9. Mellish is an arrogant self absorbed company man who believed that the colonists and his post were beneath him. When the pyro ticks (so named by the Sherwood Crew) began to swarm and devour colonists Mellish boarded his private starship and fled the colony.
William_Hill.jpg William Hill The appearance of the pyro ticks coincided with the arrival of the USCSS Archer, captained by Vera Gorski. The ship stayed only a few hours to refuel. While the crew scrambled to board the Archer for departure, William Hill fell from the landing platform and sustained serious injuries. The Archer departed without even checking on their injured roughneck. The next day the bugs began to appear.

With a small amount of prodding from Marshal Maddox and Pvt. Landow, William Hill admitted that Captain Gorski had released an egg laying pyro tick on Sullivan 9. He claimed that they were given a contract from Weyland Yutani for the delivery but the Marshal doubted that WeyYu would leave that obvious a trail. He speculated that it was more likely that another corporation was responsible for the sabotage.
